Prayer and Intercessory Ministry
At God’s Army International Ministry Poland, we believe in the power of prayer. Prayer is the foundation of everything we do as a church. It is the means through which we communicate with God, seek His guidance, and intercede for others. Through prayer, we align ourselves with His will, invite His presence into our lives, and experience His transformative power.
Our Prayer and Intercessory Ministry is dedicated to lifting up the needs of individuals, the church, our city of Gdynia, and the nation of Poland. We recognize that prayer is not only a vital part of our relationship with God, but it also has the power to change lives, communities, and even nations.
The Power of Prayer: Connecting with God and Transforming Lives
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have as believers. It is through prayer that we invite God’s will to be done in our lives and in the world around us. We believe that God hears and answers prayer, and through it, we experience His peace, guidance, and provision.
In Jeremiah 29:12-13, God promises:
“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
When we seek God in prayer, He listens, and He answers. Our Prayer and Intercessory Ministry is centered around this truth. We come together as a community to seek God’s face, to lift up the needs of others, and to ask Him to move powerfully in our lives, our church, and our city.
Our Prayer Meetings: Lifting Up Individuals, Our Church, Our City, and Our Nation
As a church, we gather every Friday evening for a special time of prayer. During these meetings, we pray for a variety of needs—individuals who are going through challenges, the health and growth of our church, the transformation of our city of Gdynia, and the spiritual revival of our nation, Poland. We believe that when God’s people come together to pray, great things happen.
1. Prayer for Individuals:
We dedicate time during our prayer meetings to lift up individuals who are in need of God’s intervention. Whether it’s for physical healing, emotional restoration, financial provision, or spiritual growth, we bring these needs before God. In James 5:16, we are encouraged:
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
We believe that as we pray for one another, God will heal, restore, and answer the prayers of His people.
2. Prayer for the Church:
We also lift up the church as a whole, asking God to strengthen and empower our leadership, to guide our ministries, and to help us fulfill the mission He has given us. In Ephesians 4:16, Paul writes:
“From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
We pray for unity, growth, and the continued work of the Holy Spirit within our church family.
3. Prayer for Our City of Gdynia:
Our hearts are burdened for the city of Gdynia, and we believe that prayer can bring transformation. We pray for the residents of our city, for revival, for peace, and for God’s will to be done. We stand on the promise found in Jeremiah 29:7, which says:
“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
As we pray for Gdynia, we believe that God will bring peace, prosperity, and spiritual renewal to our city.
4. Prayer for Poland:
We also intercede for the nation of Poland, asking God to move in the hearts of the people and bring spiritual awakening. We pray for the leaders of our nation, for the churches to be strengthened, and for revival to sweep across the land. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2, Paul instructs us:
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
Our prayer is that Poland will experience a spiritual revival and that God’s kingdom will be established throughout the nation.
The Ministry of Intercession: Standing in the Gap
Intercession is the act of praying on behalf of others, and it is an essential part of our Prayer Ministry. As intercessors, we stand in the gap, praying for those who cannot pray for themselves. We intercede for the lost, the sick, the brokenhearted, and the oppressed, believing that God will answer our prayers and bring His healing and restoration to those in need.
In Ezekiel 22:30, God says:
“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”
We believe that intercession is an essential calling for the church. Just as God sought someone to stand in the gap for the nation of Israel, He is looking for people who will intercede for the needs of our world today. Through our intercessory prayer, we seek God’s intervention in the lives of those who are hurting, lost, or in need of His touch.
Join Us in Prayer
We invite everyone to join us in our Friday evening prayer meetings. Whether you are part of our church family or a visitor, your prayers matter, and we encourage you to be part of this powerful time of intercession. As we come together in unity, we believe that God will move in powerful ways and that lives will be transformed.
In Matthew 18:19-20, Jesus promises:
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
We know that when we come together to pray in agreement, God is present, and He hears our prayers. Your involvement in prayer has the power to change lives, bring healing, and transform our community, our church, and our nation.
The Importance of Prayer in Our Lives and Ministry
Prayer is not just a religious activity; it is a vital connection to the heart of God. It is through prayer that we experience God’s presence, align with His will, and witness His miracles. Our Prayer and Intercessory Ministry is a vital part of our church, and we are committed to praying for the needs of individuals, the church, our city of Gdynia, and our nation, Poland.
We encourage you to take part in our weekly prayer gatherings and become an intercessor for others. Together, let’s lift our voices in prayer and see God move in mighty ways.
