At God’s Army International Ministry Poland, we believe that the heart of the church is not just within the walls of our building, but also in the lives of those who need the message of hope, love, and salvation found in Jesus Christ. Our Evangelism Ministry is committed to reaching out to the lost, the broken, and the hurting in our community and beyond. We take seriously the call that Jesus gave to His followers: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). This mandate guides all of our outreach efforts, as we seek to bring the light of Christ into places where darkness often seems overwhelming.
Our Evangelism Ministry is diverse and reaches people in various places of need. From prisons to hospitals, homeless shelters to the streets, we are actively sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and offering care and support to those who need it the most. Prison Outreach: Bringing Hope Behind Bars
One of the most impactful areas of our Evangelism Ministry is prison outreach. We recognize that prisons are not just places of confinement, but also places of brokenness, despair, and hopelessness. For many, the prison system becomes a place where they feel abandoned and forgotten by society, and perhaps even by God. Yet, the gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of freedom—freedom from sin, shame, and guilt. It is a message of new beginnings, hope, and redemption.
At God’s Army International Ministry, we believe that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace, and we are committed to bringing His message of love and salvation to those behind prison walls. Our prison outreach teams visit correctional facilities regularly, offering Bible studies, prayer, and opportunities for inmates to hear the gospel. We believe in the power of transformation through Christ, and we encourage those in prison to discover the peace and hope that come through a relationship with Jesus.
We are reminded in Isaiah 61:1, which Jesus Himself quoted in Luke 4:18:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
This verse speaks directly to the mission of our prison outreach, as we seek to share the good news and bring freedom to those who are physically and spiritually imprisoned.
Hospital Visitation: Sharing God’s Comfort and Healing
Another key aspect of our Evangelism Ministry is hospital visitation. Hospitals are places where people often experience deep fear, pain, and uncertainty. Whether it’s a diagnosis, a surgery, or a long-term illness, the hospital room can be a place of emotional and physical distress. Our ministry is present in these places, providing prayer, encouragement, and a listening ear to patients, families, and staff alike.
We believe in the power of prayer for healing, and we take every opportunity to pray with those in need, bringing the peace and comfort that only God can provide. During our hospital visits, we share Bible verses that remind people of God’s promises for healing, hope, and comfort. One of the passages we often share with those in hospitals is Psalm 34:18, which says:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
This verse reassures those who are struggling with illness or injury that they are not alone. God is with them in their pain, and He has the power to heal, restore, and bring peace in the midst of the storm.
Preaching the Gospel in Homeless Shelters: Sharing God’s Love in Practical Ways
Homelessness is another area where our Evangelism Ministry is actively involved. Every week, we partner with local homeless shelters to offer both spiritual and practical support to those in need. We believe that the gospel is not just about words, but also about actions. In the shelters, we don’t just preach; we serve. We provide meals, clothing, hygiene items, and most importantly, we offer hope.
The homeless community often feels overlooked and forgotten by society. Many are in desperate need of not just physical care, but also emotional and spiritual support. Our team regularly visits homeless shelters, sharing the message of Jesus Christ and His love for all people, regardless of their circumstances. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40:
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
We see every act of service as a way of serving Jesus Himself. When we share a meal, offer a kind word, or pray for someone, we are expressing the love of Christ to those who are in desperate need of it.
Street Evangelism: Taking the Gospel to the Streets
In addition to our outreach to specific groups, we also believe in street evangelism—taking the message of the gospel directly to the streets. Our teams regularly go out into the city to speak with people in public places: parks, markets, and busy intersections. We believe that the gospel should not be confined to the walls of a church building, but should be taken to where the people are. This is a core part of our ministry.
We engage in open-air preaching, one-on-one conversations, and distributing literature that shares the good news of Jesus Christ. Our street evangelism efforts are motivated by the words of Romans 10:14-15:
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”
We understand that there are people everywhere who have not yet heard the life-changing message of Jesus. Through street evangelism, we seek to bring the message of hope, forgiveness, and eternal life to those who may never set foot inside a church but are still in need of the gospel.
The Heart of Evangelism: The Love of Christ
Ultimately, the heart of our Evangelism Ministry is the love of Christ. Every outreach effort, every prayer, every sermon, and every act of service is done with the desire to show people the love of God. We are not just meeting physical needs; we are offering eternal hope.
As the Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:14-15:
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.”
The love of Christ compels us to go into the world and share His message. It is His love that motivates every step we take in our evangelistic efforts.
