Prison and Hospital Ministry

To seek the transformation of prisoners and their reconciliation to God, family, and community through the power and truth of Jesus Christ.

Is that Jesus Christ transforming grace and truth be manifested in the lives of prisoners and their families, as the local church and Prison Fellowship partner in Christ’s work to restore prisoners to the community and Church as contributing members, bearing witness that no life is beyond the reach of God’s power.

The Lord Jesus Christ has given us an example to follow, he was caring and compassionate towards to sick, maimed, oppressed etc.

“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”(Mathew 25,40 )

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5)

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God”  (2 Corynthian 5:18-20)

God expects us to take care of those who are disadvantaged in life, sick etc. He wants to manifest himself through willing believers to touch as many who are suffering, whose health condition is bad. “These shall follow them that believe; in my name…….they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”. (Mark 16 :17-18)

So we offer our help through prayer for the sick, spending time with them, visitations in hospitals, and reconciling them back to God in the name of Jesus Christ.
